Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
1. The service
SwapSQL ("the Service") converts database dump files and live databases between MySQL and PostgreSQL formats. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Plans and limits
Using the service requires a free account (e-mail sign-in). The free tier is subject to file-size and daily limits shown on the pricing page. Paid plans ("Pro") unlock higher limits and additional features. Limits may be adjusted; active subscribers are notified of material changes.
3. Acceptable use
- Only convert data you own or are authorized to process.
- No attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- No use of the Service to process unlawful content.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
4. Your data
Uploaded dumps are deleted immediately after conversion completes; converted results auto-delete after the retention window for your plan. Live-migration credentials are used only for the duration of the job and never written to disk. Details: Privacy & data retention.
5. Payments, cancellation and refunds
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime — cancellation stops future charges and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. If the Service didn't work for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
6. No warranty — verify your output
The Service is provided "as is". Database conversion involves inherent format differences; while we validate output where technically possible and report every lossy mapping, you are responsible for verifying converted data before using it in production.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including data loss in systems you import converted output into.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes accordingly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
