Privacy & data retention
Database dumps are sensitive. SwapSQL is built so that we hold your data for the shortest possible time, in the most isolated way practical.
What happens to your file
- During conversion — your dump is loaded into a dedicated, per-job database with its own credentials, on engines that run in an internal network with no internet access.
- The moment conversion ends — the uploaded dump and the temporary databases are deleted. We do not keep your input file, whether the conversion succeeded or failed.
- The converted result — stays downloadable for 24 hours, then it is deleted automatically.
What we store
- Job metadata: direction, file size, timestamps, and the conversion report (table counts, warnings). This contains no row data.
- Short-lived, per-IP daily counters for rate limiting the free tier.
What we don't do
- We don't read, index, analyze or share the contents of your databases.
- We don't require an account for the free tier.
- We don't use advertising trackers.
Sensitive data
If your dump contains regulated data (medical, financial, government), consider anonymizing it first, or contact us about a self-hosted option: [email protected].
